Photo of Charlie Partridge in Church Street who baked & delivered bread.
He baked behind the village shop when it was run by Mr Jackson the shop being owned & rented out by Mr Pudney.
Charlie died on 22.3.1968; his wife's name was Rose.
Information given at the Photo exhibition of 25/10/1997 dated this photo as 1947/50.
He used to get up at 3am to bake the bread before delivering it. When having a meal he would fall asleep with the fork between the plate and his mouth! (Bob Newman 7/2/04)
